The Virtual Cruise Experience
Seeking a unique experience, the company decided to embark on a virtual 3D cruise journey for their event. This innovative approach allowed participants to enjoy a simulated cruise, complete with interactive engagement options and real-time interactions, all from the comfort of their homes/offices.
- Virtual Cruise Ship: Once logged in, the employees/participants found themselves aboard a stunning 3D virtual cruise ship, complete with elegant cruise visuals and company specific branding, creating an immersive experience
- Interactive Pre-Function Lobby: Employees were delighted with a live photobooth, a virtual helpdesk, a “Talent Show” stage, a networking area, and a digital mosaic wall displaying participant contributions.
- Main Event on Zoom: All 1,000 employees joined a Zoom call to watch a live, professional video production with special effects. The host and leaders, while interacting with the audience, appeared in their “physical” form on the stage within the 3D environment.
- “Likes” Feature: Employees actively participated by providing real-time reactions to presentations, performances, talent showcases and networking content with Likes and Comments.
The Impact
Implementing an immersive event strategy gave employees an exceptional and memorable experience. The interactive elements of the events allowed employees to actively participate and interact with leadership and colleagues, as well as a sense of being acknowledged and heard at the corporate level. Overall, the event received a positive feedback.
